We’ve got some great Online PD sessions in store this April! We’ll be continuing our Google Educators Certification on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons through the month, and we’ll have a plethora of courses to help you incorporate technology into your classroom in exciting ways. Utilizing Engage NY Modules in the High School Math Classroom
Learn how to use the modules created by EngageNY to enhance your common core classroom. We will focus on integrating digital tools and manipulatives in order to increase student engagement and understanding while being sure that standards are being met in an ideal way. This course will focus on the modules for the High school math classroom but join us the following week where we’ll focus on using EngageNY modules in the Elementary math classroom. Register Here
Listen Current for English Language Learners
Listen Current brings engaging non-fiction stories to the classroom and helps students stay connected to the real world by curating the best of public radio. Paired with comprehensive lesson plans and examples Listen Current will enhance students listening skills and help teachers differentiate and make current events fun and interesting. In this course we’ll focus on the new ELL activities that have been added to their lesson plans so you can differentiate in the classroom for all your students while still covering the same content! How to Organize and Effectively Use Your Computer
Join us to learn some basic ways to keep your PC computer content organized and enhance your knowledge of programs that you can use in the classroom. We will be discussing how to successfully create and save documents, how to create favorites in an appropriate web browser, and how to organize all of this great content for easy access. Google Educators Certification
Although this certification officially began live sessions back in February you can still join us! Watch the sessions archived and when caught up, join us live. Through our new Google Educators Certification we will cover the information you’ll need to take the Google exams to become a Google Educator. We’ll cover organizing and increasing productivity with Drive, Gmail and Calendar, creating content with Drawings, Docs, Slides, Forms, and Sheets and then put it all together in Sites! Register Here
