Have you ever used QR codes? Wouldn’t it be great if it could be an image instead? Now it can!

Imagine having your students scan an image of a tadpole on your wall. Similar to using a QR code, LinkReader then takes them to a video that explains the lifecycle of a frog or links out to a set of questions created on Quizlet. With the Link Creation Studio, you can make the physical environment of your school an interactive and engaging digital experience.

Use the online Link Creation Studio to make what’s called a trigger image. Students will download the free LinkReader App that they will use to scan these images. After you’ve chosen the trigger image, you can then set the link, video or any other content with a URL you’d like students to see. Once you have published your trigger image, you can even view analytics on the number of scans.

You can also set up multiple links if students scan your image with a mobile device. For example, you can have students scan an image of the Declaration of Independence. When they scan the trigger image with their mobile device, they can be linked to things like a video about the Declaration, the actual Declaration of Independence or a Quizlet for formative assessment. A truly interactive experience all from one piece of paper!LinkReader
