Hello teachers!

Many of our readers are already dedicated users of our Online Professional Development, which allowed them access to both live and archived professional development videos, tailored to a wide number of subjects. Well, if that wasn’t good enough, this summer we’ve been working on making our favorite product even better. We are proud to announce the recent re-launch of our new Online Professional Development Platform!

In addition to a new, more streamlined look, we’ve also consolidated each user’s personal information into one location. At your Profile, you can customize your name and information, view your certificates and badges, and customize when the platform sends messages and reminders to your email address. You can even add a picture!

threeIn addition to the new Profile, the new platform also provides administrators with the ability to create custom professional development plans for their teachers with the My PD Plan feature. Administrators can select sessions from our archives, organize them into playlists based on their own professional development needs, then send those playlists out to teachers within their network. Administrators can even create assignments for given sessions! We’ve also improved the metrics that administrators can use to track their teachers’ use of the platform using the My Reports section.

One thing we’ve kept from our previous version of the platform–our archives! Now with an updated look and made easier to nagivate, our 150+ sessions on topics like SMART, Google, Microsoft, NAO, and more are all available at the click of a mouse–or, if you’re on a mobile device, the touch of a finger. You can register a course and add it to your own PD plan from the Course Calendar (for upcoming live sessions) or the Course Library (for archived courses). We even save you the time trying to figure out what the next upcoming sessions will be–it’s announced right on the platforms front page!

Finally, we’re introducing a whole new level of access to customized professional development with our Instructional Support NOW feature!

With Instructional Support NOW, teachers can obtain instant access to one of our professional development specialists through either text chat or a video call, allowing them to pick our brains for ideas and support at any time throughout the day. Teachers with limited time can also use the feature to send us an email for less pressing questions, or schedule a call with us for a time that suits their schedule. Finally, the chance to contact an expert whenever you need it!

The new platform was released on September 15th, and is available on all mobile devices as well as any computer with an internet connection. Whether you’re already a fan of our OPD, or are just looking for something new to help up your educational game, feel free to check us out at http://onlinepd.teq.com/. We’d be happy to show you what we can offer you and your classroom!
